Information about Moitas Beach in Ceará

Here are some useful tips for your stay in Icaraí de Amontada, Moitas, or Caetanos in Ceará.
  • What is the peak season?

From July to January we have a high season period, and the low season runs from February to June, except for holidays. The windy season can be earlier or later depending on the year, whether there was rain or not, but July to December is the most common windy period, when we have many visitors practicing wind-based water sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing. This is the reason why we have such a long high season.

  • Is there a bank or ATM?

We don't have a bank or ATM, but ask at your guesthouse about places that offer currency exchange, cash withdrawals, and cash withdrawals using credit or debit cards from some banks. There may be fees for currency exchange or card withdrawals.

  • What are the restaurant hours?

Generally, they operate from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, reopen at 6:00 PM, and close at 11:00 PM. Some operate throughout the afternoon or close after 11:00 PM, but the vast majority do not serve outside these hours. If you are arriving at night, after 10:00 PM, consider having dinner beforehand to avoid the risk of not finding an open restaurant. During weekdays, there may be some flexibility depending on how busy the city is.

  • Where to eat in Moitas

Moitas Beach has special places for lunch and dinner. With different styles, you can enjoy a dinner with natural light and grilled fish, watch the sunset with a sea view, or even savor fresh seafood prepared by the families of native fishermen. Check out the list of options for WHERE TO EAT IN MOITAS.

  • How many days should I stay in the region?

This is very personal, but we consider 3 days a comfortable amount of time to see the main sights, such as visiting Icaraí and Caetanos, as well as the Moitas region. If you enjoy nature and extreme sports, you will need more days or you will give us the pleasure of seeing you on another occasion.

  • Do I need a car to explore the region?

For stays in Moitas and Caetanos, it's a good idea to rent or use your own vehicle. It's worth checking with your guesthouse to see if they can offer more specific tips. There's nothing wrong with hiring a buggy driver for a personalized service. Moitas itself isn't large, and you can easily walk and access various points of interest.

  • Will the tours pick me up at the inn?

Yes, all tours booked through Cooptranstur pick you up and drop you off at guesthouses in Icaraí de Amontada. If you plan to stay in Caetanos or Moitas, consider asking about this beforehand. Moitas has buggy drivers residing there, so give preference to them when hiring.

  • Does it have a pharmacy and a hospital?

Our health center is quite limited, and cases are usually taken to the municipal headquarters 50 km away, in Itapipoca, Soral, or Fortaleza. Special medications must be brought, as the two local pharmacies may not be able to provide them.
