THE WALK
Want to discover a little about the fishing village of Moitas beach? Book our Moitas Dunes tour. We pick up clients at their guesthouse, covering an average distance of 24km and lasting a total of 2h30min, passing through trails, dunes and the seashore, with the first stop at the border of Icaraizinho and Moitas beaches, with a privileged view of the sea, a place known as "Ponta", a stop for photos, a popular spot for kitesurfing.
Second stop at the mouth (where the river meets the sea) of the Aracatiaçú River, at Tio Cle's stall, a pleasant stall with options for drinks, food, photos, and swimming in the river or sea.
Third stop, we arrived at the Ilha das Ostras stall, a stop for unlimited oyster tasting.
Finishing with a stop at the Sunset Dunes to admire the scenery and take photos.
Tunnel through the mangrove swamp, extend the adventure.
There, we can have another adventure, taking a boat trip along the river, passing through the Aracatiuaçu River and the "Camboa," as it's called by the locals, a tunnel made of mangroves. At the tunnel's exit, we pass by dunes and Oyster Island, so named because, at high tide, the place becomes an island.
On Oyster Island, you can enjoy seafood cuisine; the oysters are cultivated on the riverbank. The tour continues by buggy or 4x4, climbing the dunes of Moitas, arriving at Porto de Areia, known as Sunset Dunes, thus ending your tour with a beautiful sunset.
"Optionally include a boat trip through the mangroves"
The sunset tour is usually done by buggy or 4x4 and follows the Aracatiaçu River in the final leg. It can be a great idea to include a boat trip that will take you through an emerald green water tunnel inside the mangrove swamp. At the end of the boat trip, your car will continue its journey. Note: During the rainy season, the water color changes and will not be emerald green. This boat trip is paid for separately and negotiated directly with the boatman.
